Class 6 and 7: criminal appeals from the NSW Local Court    

 

Proceedings in Classes 6 and 7 involve appeals, and applications for leave to appeal, against decisions of the NSW Local Court in proceedings for environmental offences, with respect to:

  • conviction

  • sentence

  • dismissal of proceedings.

The procedure for such appeals and applications for leave to appeal is regulated by the Crimes (Appeal and Review) Act 2001.
